Young & Mighty Book Launch
Teenagers really love it when you talk about them as babies, right? Oh good.
So, I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Henry Patterson since he was a super-cute baby. We share a love of musical theatre, and he has the singing talent that I know I should have been born with. He was remarkable even as a young child. I remember being in awe when at just four years old he was naming and alphabetizing all the planets while I held my newborn baby and tried to remember what day of the week it was. I think we all knew then he would be a star, and he has gone on to pack more achievements into the next ten years than many adults do in a lifetime.
Now aged 14, Henry has just published his first book, Young & Mighty, aimed at enterprising youngsters who want to start their own business.
It’s a fun, engaging book with lots of practical tips and fun exercises to get you thinking and doing. I was very proud when Henry asked me to write the chapter on branding, and even more excited when I discovered that other contributors include Sir Richard Branson, Mike Krieger (co-founder of Instagram), Theo Paphitis, Sarah Willingham, Sir Cameron Mackintosh and Not on the High Street founder Holly Tucker.
The book is perfect for young people looking to flex their entrepreneurial muscles, but it’s more than just the content that is inspiring. The fact that Henry conceived the idea, wrote and collated the content and found a publisher for this book resets the bar on what is possible for young people. As always Henry is daring to be different and breaking new ground. Go Hen! We are so proud of you. [Insert embarrassing cheek pinching gesture here].
