I know Suzannah won't mind me saying that she finds it tricky to write succinctly. She is bursting with creativity and ideas, and is also extremely articulate, but the result can be somewhat, ahem, wordy.
Of course Suzannah has all the beautiful images she could ever need, so we have worked together to give her website words an overhaul, and to streamline her copy into something meaningful for her clients.
Rather than focusing on trying to communicate her many impressive technical skills, we considered why these matter to her clients. The answer was clear to me; she is a sophisticated photographer who produces a highly refined style of image with real substance. Suzannah's work is perfect for luxury brands and we needed understated and intelligent copy to reflect this.
I created a new sitemap for the website which simplified the number of pages and made the portfolio - the jewel in the crown - easier to navigate. This is all about defining a clear message and is a crucial step before going on to write any copy.
On most pages I reduced the number of words and technical jargon, with the aim of making the copy easier to read and more aspirational. The final flourish is a beautiful new strapline:
