Our plants are propagated, potted then raised right here in our own growing fields. We don’t use polytunnels, so our plants live outdoors all year round in the elements of Northwest England. As the saying goes, if it grows at Holden Clough, it’ll grow anywhere.
Nestled in the idyllic Ribble Valley, Holden Clough nursery was established almost a century ago and has evolved to become a sanctuary for plant-lovers, keen gardeners and beginners alike. The hundred-year heritage of Holden Clough is central to its philosophy, which still sees plants grown the traditional way today.
Another project in partnership with designer Jack Watkins at Studio Renaissance, together we created a new brand direction, language, visual identity, website and brochure. Our direction for the brand balanced Holden Clough’s plant knowledge and expertise with a sense of wonder and inspired design.

Holden Beck trickles through our land, creating a peaceful corner to stop for a moment and breathe. Draw inspiration for your garden from our calming English meadow style planting, and observe the wildlife going about its business.
We also developed an identity and language for The Wonder Garden, a new garden design service which was launched at RHS Tatton 2023, where Holden Clough proudly took centre stage as Master Grower for the event.
